Here’s an essential message to all our amazing 2023 Wings Over Houston ticket purchasers and those thinking of buying a ticket to the 2023 Airshow.

We want to be proactive with the potential “government shutdown”, hence the following …

If (with emphasis on If) the U.S. Federal Government Shuts Down

The United States Federal Government might shut down this weekend. And if the Federal Government shuts down, due to an inability to approve funding legislation, the following will occur:

All military and Federal Government assets — including ground display aircraft and military performers will NOT attend the 2023 Wings Over Houston Airshow. Assets include the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, NASA aircraft, and single-ship military demonstration teams.

Please note: the government shutdown HAS NOT happened and MIGHT NOT happen. This message is meant to inform you of our plans in case the U.S. Government shuts down.

>>> There is a possibility that an extension (Continuing Resolution) will be made, allowing the Airshow to continue as planned with FULL military and federal government support. It is also essential to remember the following: If the Government shuts down and then opens back up within the next week or so, full military and government participation is expected! <<<

The 2023 Airshow is a “GO!”

Despite a government shutdown, the 2023 CAF Wings Over Houston Airshow is still a “GO!” This includes contingencies to give our airshow attendees the best experience possible.

Given the above, we have adopted the following
2023 You Will “See a Jet Team Fly” Guarantee

Here is our promise to 2023 ticket purchasers: you will see a Jet Team fly! And when we say “a Jet Team,” we mean either the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds (in 2023) or the U.S. Navy Blue Angels (in 2024).

How will the 2023 “See a Jet Team Fly” GUARANTEE Work?

For those who have purchased a 2023 Wings Over Houston Airshow ticket, please come to this year’s show and watch some of the best civilian pilots in the world fly for you.

All the 2023 amenities and hospitality are in place for you to enjoy. This includes fantastic vintage warbirds and jaw-dropping civilian performers. Again, regardless of the government, the 2023 Airshow is a “GO!”

What Does This Mean for You (2023 Ticket Purchasers)?

If the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds cannot perform this year, we invite 2023 ticket purchasers back for FREE to see the U.S. Navy Blue Angels in 2024.

If the USAF Thunderbirds do NOT Perform at This Year’s Airshow

We will offer 2023 ticket purchasers an equal number of General Admission tickets to the 2024 Wings Over Houston Airshow, featuring the U.S. Navy Blue Angels.

For example, if you purchased one ticket for 2023 (Business Class, Eagle Squadron, Family Chalet, Prime View, Photo Pit, or General Admission Ticket), you will receive one General Admission ticket for 2024. If you purchased more than one ticket for 2023, we will issue you an equal number of General Admission tickets for 2024.

“What if I Purchased Multiple 2023 Airshow Tickets?”

If you purchased five tickets (of any type) to the 2023 Airshow, you will be issued five General Admission tickets to the 2024 Airshow.

Easy & Automatic Processing

We want to make the “See a Jet Team Fly” Guarantee easy for you. So, issuing 2024 tickets will happen automatically via email at a future date.

If the government shuts down, we would like to offer 2023 ticket purchasers an exclusive promo code for deeper discounts on next year’s Airshow featuring the U.S. Navy Blue Angels.

Thinking of Purchasing a 2023 Wings Over Houston Airshow Ticket?

If you haven’t bought a ticket already, we’re extending discounts. The September savings promotion of “up to 20% OFF*” (which would have expired this Saturday, September 30th at 11:59 PM) will be extended until Thursday, October 5th. That means there will be no price increase this Saturday night, regardless of what happens with the government.
