Follow the directions on your pass for “PURPLE” lot. Please have your parking pass printed and displayed on your dashboard prior to arrival.
Photo ID for Adults
We recommend photo IDs for the adults that would like to enjoy adult beverages. Servers are required to check everyone’s ID.
Please Arrive “ON TIME”
If you’d like to get to the airshow early – please arrive as close to the gate/airshow open times as possible. Though it might seem completely counterintuitive, arriving at the airshow show early actually slows down traffic flow onto the air show grounds. The “ON TIME” recommendation is for all ticket types. Thank you!
Have Your Tickets Ready to Scan
Please have your ticket (printed bar code or smartphone) ready to scan to minimize gate entry times. Make sure you click on “VIEW MY TICKETS” (found in your ticket purchase confirmation email) and either save OR print your tickets. Just before you get to the scanning gates, it helps the scanners if you can increase your smartphone screen brightness for scanning.
Frequently Asked Airshow Questions:
Here are some of the most Frequently Asked Questions that people have been asking:
We’ll update these questions and answer as we get closer to the show. If you want more answers, please visit our FAQ page here: https://wingsoverhouston.com/faq/
What can I bring?
Can I bring weapons or firearms to the show?
Wings Over Houston must comply with local, state and federal laws concerning possession of firearms and weapons at an airport. Firearms, weapons and concealed firearms are prohibited. For a full listing of TSA restricted items at airports, please see: https://www.tsa.gov/travel/security-screening/whatcanibring/printable
“Can I bring a scooter/wheelchair/golf cart?”
Motorized scooters and wheelchairs for disabled patrons are allowed in the Airshow grounds; personal golf carts are not allowed. Please be aware that the crowds may be heavy and maneuvering may be difficult, and that there is no place at the show to plug in and “recharge.”
“Can I bring a lawn chair or blanket?”
Yes! There is no seating included with your General Admission ticket and guests are invited to bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit. However, no tents, large umbrellas, or canopies are allowed.
NOTE: Shuttle buses cannot accommodate wagons, large strollers, or chairs that cannot be collapsed and carried on board.
“Can I bring my own food and drink- Smoking??”
You may bring your own food and drink, however you are NOT allowed to bring in a cooler, alcoholic beverages or glass containers. Any food or drink must be in clear plastic container or bag for quick inspection. Loose ice is prohibited. Frozen ice packs are allowed. No large bags. Any bags brought in are subject to search by the security personnel at the gates and you may not be allowed in with such items. No cooking equipment is allowed. Smoking is only allowed outside of the airport security fence/ outside of gates you entered.
Remember that there are many different food and drink vendors available at the show, with most being run by charitable groups as fundraisers.
“Why the restrictions on coolers, large bags, and totes?”
The FAA and Department of Homeland Security have required us to enforce these rules for your safety. You will be on airport grounds. This is a rule common to all airports, major airshows and events in the U.S.
“Can I bring a stroller or wagon for my kids?”
Yes, strollers or small wagons are allowed. Please limit any diaper bags to the smallest you can manage. All items will be searched by security personnel at the gates and they have the final say on what is allowed in.
CAN I BRING MY SERVICE ANIMAL TO THE AIRSHOW?
We love all pets, but only clearly identified service animals are allowed on airshow grounds.
WHAT HAPPENS IF THE AIRSHOW IS CANCELED?
As in previous years, we’ll ensure that you get to see an airshow and you are happy with the experience!
CAN I EXIT AND RE-ENTER THE AIR SHOW?
You are welcome to leave the airshow at any time, including early – but re-entrance is not permitted. After most people arrive at the show, the entrance lanes are reversed to exit lanes. This is done to ensure that everyone gets home as quickly as possible. The only disadvantage is that re-entry is not permitted.
A Note on Performers:
Aircraft and performers are subject to change without notice, due to operational considerations. If anything changes, we will do our best to let you know. Thank you!
